[PATCH] Fixed documentation typos

Description

There were a number of typos and inconsistencies in the code documentation, and therefore the public facing RDoc API. I've gone through and fixed everything I could find.

Thanks Michael. This patch is great. It must have been a lot of work. It has now been applied and I'll update the public facing rdocs as soon as I put out the next release.
